First Race 1:27pm AEST

Your Tuesday afternoon is sorted thanks to HorseBetting.com.au’s best bets and quaddie picks from Mackay. A seven-race program has been assembled on what will be a Good 4 track with the rail is in the true position for the entire course. The first race will jump at 1:27pm AEST.

Best Bet: I Did It Again

The form out of this race is going to stack up all winter in North Queensland, so be sure to watch it. A couple of smart ones return with I Did It Again and Moreno taking on the in-form Princess Rules and Raiden. I Did It Again gets the advantage of the inside alley and also gets his regular rider and trainer in Trinity Bannon, which is a huge plus given he does have to lug 60kg. The six-year-old gelding is unbeaten at the Mackay 1050m course and has only lost once at his home track. We expect to see him lead all the way as he heads towards the Mackay Newmarket. Big watches on Moreno and last year’s Townsville Cup winner, Shiranda, who will need further than this.

Best BetRace 4 – I Did It Again (#2) $2.30 with Sportsbet

Next Best: Right Bower

Young gun trainer Tom Smith saddles up Right Bower, who makes his third start for the stable. The four-year-old son of Show A Heart has had 15 starts and failed to win yet, but he has placed in seven of those, including narrow seconds in his two Queensland starts. He looks to be a big, strong galloper and has really knuckled down to the task in his two runs, so rising from 1200m to 1300m and going down 0.5kg in the weights should be just what he needs. He will be in the box seat from barrier two under Brad Pengelly and should be able to break through.

Next BestRace 2 – Right Bower (#4) $1.35 with Sportsbet

Best Value: Bondi Beau

Former Victorian Bondi Beau has proved to be a nice progressive type as he looks for three straight wins on Tuesday. The three-year-old won by 2.3 lengths at this track over 1100m two runs back before grinding them into the ground over 1200m on the big Rockhampton track on April 9 to win by 1.25 lengths. He has drawn wide in barrier nine but drops 1.5kg and keeps Nathan Day aboard, so he should be right up on the speed again and can give connections yet another win in CQ. The 1300m shouldn’t be an issue, especially around Mackay.

Best ValueRace 3 – Bondi Beau (#9) $4.40 with Sportsbet
