Lismore Horse Betting Preview – Sunday, 17th January 2021
Eight races will be run and won at Lismore on Sunday afternoon. The track is currently rated a soft 6, with the rail out +2.5m from the 950m – 400m, and +1.5m from the 400m to the winning post. The rail will be in the true for the remainder of the course.
Race 1 jumps at 12:50pm.
We are siding with Anatolian Charm in the opener in the hope that she can turn her last three placings into a win here at Lismore. She was a winner five starts ago at Coffs Harbour in impressive fashion by over 4L on a soft track. She has since run third at her last three runs, with her most recent coming on Heavy 10 tracks. Back to a soft track here should suit and she should be too good.

We are hoping to bookend the card here with Billy Healy’s El Prados. The son of El Roca was a good winner at the Gold Coast last time out, coming from just off the speed to beat Clang Alang and Mint Strip. The step up to 1210m should suit, as will the soft track again. Under Matt McGuren, he’ll settle in the back half of the field but should be the one finishing home the better.
