Tuesday racing in Victoria heads to Kyneton, which hosts its first meeting since April 17. The track came up a Soft 7 on Monday afternoon, while the rail is in the true position for the entire circuit. The first of five maidens will kick off the nine-race card at 1pm AEST, with the last four events looking like they will be highly competitive.

This Maher & Eustace-trained 3YO colt was unwanted on debut when drifting from $12 to $19, but he won quite easily and seems to be a country horse worth following through the grades. He meets a field where a lot of key chances are well into their campaigns. Harry Coffey retains the ride and will look to get him up on speed again, and the pairing should prove hard to hold out as punters look to blast out in the last.

If her bloodline is anything to go by, this 4YO mare out of Brazen Beau and Makybe Diva will have no issue with the soft track over the staying distance of 2800m. She was only fair at her last start when finishing midfield at Geelong on the back of her impressive maiden win. That victory was on a Heavy 8 at Sale over 2200m, and she looks well placed here to record her second career win.

There looks to be a maiden out there for Norah, and there is no reason why this 1200m race can’t be it. She was easily beaten last start at Geelong when running into a handy one in Bermadez. Before that she was run down inside the last 100m at Sale to finish second to Generation Gap. If she can bring that form to Kyneton, she may be a nice value play in a race that doesn’t offer much depth outside of the favourite.
