What | Kilmore Races |
Where | Kilmore Racing Club, East St, Kilmore VIC 3764 |

First Race | 01:30pm AEDT |
The first of two meetings in Victoria is set to be held at Kilmore on Thursday afternoon where an eight race card will be run. With a near perfect summer’s day forecast, the rail in the true position, and the track being rated a Good 4 we look set for a cracking day of racing in the states north. The first at Kilmore is set to jump at 1:30pm AEDT.
Best Bet – Race 6 Namarari (#3)
Andrew Dale will be hoping the consistent form his four-year-old gelding has shown throughout the Southern part of NSW and country Victoria can result in a win at Kilmore on Thursday. Namarari has yet to miss a placing in his last four starts which included a much deserved maiden victory at Wangaratta three starts back when scoring by three lengths. In his starts since he had no luck at Corowa on December 28, where he was trapped four wide without cover for the entire trip, only going down in the dying stages. His last run saw him lead the field up but found two better when being overrun late in the shadows of the winning post. His form looks to be the one to follow in the second leg of the Kilmore quaddie and looks the best bet on the card.

Next Best – Race 4 Insaaf (#10)
Mick Price seemingly has a high opinion of his three-year-old filly having had her contest the listed Taj Rossi Stakes at Flemington in the winter. However, Insaaf is still a maiden after six career starts and may not get a better chance than this maiden field she faces at Kilmore on Thursday. She chased home a few smart ones at Caulfield on January 2 and was far from disgraced considering she struggled to see daylight in the home straight. From barrier one she should be able to settle nicely, and as long as she is afforded a touch more luck this time around, she will take a power of beating.

Best Value – Race 8 Swing With Junior (#8)
We’re happy to put a line through the Kym Hann trained Swing With Junior’s last start effort when putting in a well below par performance at Echuca on December 31. Prior to that the filly had had a superb start to her three-year-old campaign when beating a smart one at Ararat and backed it up with a runner up performance the following week. She comes here with a three week break between runs, and if she runs up to the form prior to Echuca she will be hard to beat in the last leg of the quaddie.
