First Race 1:15pm AEDT

HorseBetting’s New South Wales form analyst brings you his best bets and quaddie numbers for a very wet Kembla Grange on Tuesday. With torrential rain hammering the east coast of Australia over the past few days, the meeting has to be in some serious doubt of going ahead. The track is currently rated a Heavy 10, while the rail is out 8m from the 1100m to the winning post and out 6m for the remainder of the course. Racing is scheduled to get underway at 1:15pm AEDT.

The meeting has been transferred from Kembla Grange to Goulburn

Best Bet at Kembla Grange – Turning

Kim Waugh and Rory Hutchings combine in the penultimate with the consistent Turning. The son of Star Turn has won three of his six races, including a dominant 1.5-length victory at Newcastle on February 12 in a Benchmark 64. The three-year-old stays at 59kg and goes to a Benchmark 68 over 1300m, which is going to suit him down to the ground. The gelding is two from two on a soft track and has placed once on heavy going, so the conditions shouldn’t be an issue. This looks a nice race for him to go on with it now.

Next Best at Kembla Grange – Definitely Maybe

In the second race of the day, Matthew Smith saddles up Definitely Maybe, who has been knocking on the door for a win. The three-year-old filly has raced twice, finishing a narrow second on debut before running on to fourth behind Sing A Love Song on February 15 at Wyong when a well-supported commodity. The daughter of So You Think should be better third-up and at the 1400m again on Tuesday, while the big track at Kembla Grange will suit her. She maps to get plenty of favours from barrier five, so Jay Ford should be able to boot her home.

Best Value at Kembla Grange – Eyes To Eye

Richard & Michael Freedman are set to resume Eyes To Eye on Tuesday in a very winnable Class 1 Handicap. The three-year-old son of Tivaci is yet to miss the placings in three career starts, running third twice and winning at Hawkesbury at the end of August in a 1500m Maiden. The gelding has trialled well behind Hilal and Black Bolt, which looks good on paper for a race like this, and being by Tivaci, who won a Group 1 on a Heavy 8, he should appreciate the give in the track. Brenton Avdulla is fresh off riding a Group 1 winner on Saturday, and he gets the favours from barrier two.

Best ValueRace 3 – Eyes To Eye (#3) $5.50 with Sportsbet
