Jumps schools moved for Cranbourne trials

Racing Victoria has moved a set of jump schools from the Cranbourne training complex to ensure it will be fit to hold an important set of race trials.

Friday’s jumps trials have been rescheduled and transferred to Coleraine on Monday as Cranbourne hosts 30 flat trials that day.

Victoria’s recent cold snap has resulted in 51mm of rain falling at Cranbourne in the past seven days which has affected the outside section of the track where the jumps trials were to be conducted.

Following a RV stewards inspection on Thursday it was deemed the track unsuitable and Coleraine the only suitable transfer venue to hold the jumps trials.

The wet patches on the outside section will not affect the flat trials where a number of Group One performers are set to advance their spring programs.

A total of 331 flat horses have been nominated to trial on Monday including Group One winners Aloisia, Black Heart Bart, Gailo Chop, Humidor, Malaguerra, Mr Quickie, Princess Jenni and Santa Ana Lane.
