Blake Shinn has been taken to hospital after falling during trackwork.

Jockey Blake Shinn has been taken to hospital with neck soreness and probable concussion after a fall in a heat of the Randwick barrier trials.

Racing NSW said Shinn appeared to have suffered a concussion but was conscious when ambulance officers arrived to treat him after the fall on Monday.

Shinn came off Pacific Legend around the 650m mark of the 1045m-trial.

He was complaining of neck soreness and being transported to the nearby Prince of Wales Hospital for further assessment.
