Japanese star Maurice will join the Arrowfield Stud roster for the southern hemisphere season.
Japanese champion Maurice will shuttle to Arrowfield Stud in the southern hemisphere breeding season.
The six-time Group One winner and 2015 Japanese Horse of the Year bowed out a winner in the Hong Kong Cup in December.
Maurice is serving a full book for his first northern hemisphere season at the Yoshida family’s Shadai Stallion Station.
“Nobody could fail to be impressed by Maurice’s extraordinary performances at the highest level,” Arrowfield chairman John Messara said.
“We are privileged to have the opportunity to stand the Yoshidas’ charismatic superstar whose physique, 1600-metre dominance and Danehill-free status make him a wonderful addition to our roster.”
He will stand at Arrowfield for a fee of $33,000 in 2017.
