UK JOCKEY duo Ryan Moore and William Buick have been granted short-term riding licenses ahead of Grade 1 Mile Championship Day at Kyoto.

The British pair, who are considered two of the best jockeys in the world, will have their licenses activated from November 17 and will be eligible to ride through until December.

Moore, who has ridden for 119 wins including 14 graded victories will pilot flashy grey Aerolithe in the Mile Championship for champion trainer Takanori Kikuzawa.

Kazuko Yoshida is Moore’s contract owner.

Buick, while not as prolific as Moore, has delivered a number of quality performances in Japan. The 30-year-old has won 21 times in Japan, which has included four graded victories. The Brit pilots topweight Stelvio in the Mile Championship for trainer Kazuko Yoshida.

Hirotsugu Inokuma is Buick’s contract holder.
