First Race 12:33pm AEST

Ipswich Turf Club is scheduled to host an eight race card on Wednesday afternoon, with the action set to get underway at 12:33pm AEST. The track is rated a Soft 5 with the rail out 10m for the entire circuit, but a favourable forecast suggests we should be racing on a Good 4. HorseBetting.com.au brings you the best bets, top odds and quaddie numbers for the meeting.

Best Bet: Miss Mckinley

The Tony Sears-trained Miss Mckinley comes into the opening leg of the Ipswich quaddie with a strong career record and looks the one to beat. The three-year-old Dawn Approach filly returned with a dominant win at Gatton on April 23 and is chasing four consecutive victories. It is hard to not like her style of racing; she has great barrier banners and tends to lead the field up at her own tempo. On Wednesday she is in a field that lacks early pace, so she should have no hassles in finding the front. Under riding from Georgina Cartwright, we expect her to be too speedy for her rivals over the 1100m.

Best BetRace 5 – Miss Mckinley (#8) $4.50 with Sportsbet

Next Best: The Lioness

Toby Edmonds brings his three-year-old The Lioness to Ipswich following a smart win at the Gold Coast on April 17. She beat a big field on that day in an all-the-way victory over 1200m when drawing clear over the final 100m. Robbie Fradd will take the steer on the Exosphere filly, and from barrier eight we expect them to go forward and prove hard to catch yet again. Having finished no worse than second in four career starts, and with two wins to her name, The Lioness is one well worth following.

Next Best Again: Nothinsweetaboutme

The Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott-trained Nothinsweetaboutme steps out of the Listed Gold Coast Bracelet to compete in this QTIS 3YO on Wednesday. The So You Think filly had been competitive in a Group 3 the start prior and should find this easier on Wednesday. As is often the case with Waterhouse & Bott runners, expect Michael Cahill to take her to the front from the barriers. If she brings her best to Ipswich, we think this three-year-old will prove hard to run down.

Next Best AgainRace 6 – Nothinsweetaboutme (#4) $2.80 with Sportsbet
