Wind In The Willow is the only last-start winner coming into this race, which will count for a lot. The horse will go back from a decent draw and look to finish over the top of them as it did a the Gold Coast.

The Real Boss hammered the field on debut back in December of last year and it resumes on Friday for the first time since. The horse won by just shy of six lengths that day and there’s no reason to think it cannot progress quickly through the grades.

Having only missed out by two parts of a length last time out, the second-up Ultimate Reality will be hard to hold out here. The horse has placed at this point in the preparation and last time out it was inconvenienced at a vital stage.

Race 4 – Maiden Plate (1200m)

Our Netbank will attempt to win this one from the front. The horse has two second placings from four attempts, both combining to be less than a full length. Conditions look to suit here after Our Netbank dropped 2kg for this race.

Race 5 – Class 2 Handicap (1350m)

The hat-trick seeking Theatric is the only last-start winner in this field and looks the obvious choice. The horse won well in its maiden and smashed the field in the next start at Class 1 level so we think it can continue to progress.

Race 6 – Class 2 Handicap (1350m)

Guissola is a much better racer than this company. The horse has placed in black-type events in the past, and while it hasn’t returned in the best condition it was racing at Doomben in a much higher rating. Should be winning this.

Race 7 – Benchmark 64 (1300m)

Teeroys Tribute comes into this race third-up, but on the back of a 62 day letup. The galloper has been in dynamite form over the past six weeks, winning four times and placing once, the one failure was a fourth-placed effort. Teeroys Tribute looks miles too good for these.
