Eight races will be run at Ipswich this Saturday on for what will be the sister meeting in Queensland to the Magic Millions at the Gold Coast Turf Club. The track is a good 4, and the rail is out just +2m for the entirety of the course.
Race 1 will jump at 12:35pm.
Best Bet – Race 5 : #13 She Can Sing
Michael Costa saddles up three-year-old filly She Can Sing at start number two. The Your Song filly ran third on debut at Ipswich under 54kg which is the same weight she gets here under Jake Bayliss. Drawn well in barrier 4, she will be box seating behind what looks a pretty strong tempo and should be too good for them late.

Next Best – Race 6 : #10 Chivargo
Chivargo has burst onto the scene since joining the Darryl Hansen stable from country Victoria in early December, winning all three of her starts at the Sunshine Coast. She’s drawn perfectly in barrier 3 which will allow Kyle Wilson-Taylor find the front and roll along making her hard to reel in. The Deep Field mare stays at 1200m but rises to Benchmark 75 grade which will give her a task, but she does drop 3kg for her troubles. We expect her to be too good again.

Best Value – Race 4 #Statesville
The Kacy Fogden-trained Statesville comes into this first-up assignment ready to win after a nice trial at the Gold Coast on Christmas Eve. The son of Written Tycoon has been gelded since we last saw him, which should have him switched on and ready to put it all together on race day. He’ll jump from barrier 2 under Ryan Plumb, which shouldn’t see him too far away at all in the run. With form around Hancora Field and Eelloh, we can see him figuring at $8 here.
