Predicted hot weather in Victoria has prompted race officials to make scheduling changes.

The Ararat meeting on Friday when the forecast temperature is 38 degrees has been transferred to Sunday while race times for Thursday’s two meetings have been changed.

The meeting at Kilmore will be brought forward two hours in a bid to beat the hottest part of the day, with the meeting to begin at 10.50am and finish at 2.45pm.

The Thursday night meeting at Pakenham has been pushed back by 30 minutes to start at 6.30pm.

The temperature on Thursday is expected to peak at 38 degrees at 5pm.
