Race 1 – Maiden Plate (1300m)

Two strong return runs helps us tip C’est Davinchi with confidence. The Hawkes runner finished within a length of the winner on both occasions and we think it has the ability to go one better in the small field.

Race 1 tip: C’est Davinchi to win ($2.90 at Neds)

Race 2 – Class 2 Handicap (1000m)

Godolphin runner Revenire is the horse to beat here. The resuming runner Has two wins from five races and looms as a progressive type. This appears within the colt’s grasp.

Race 2 tip: Revenire to win ($2 at William Hill)

Race 3 – Maiden Handicap (1100m)

In a race where not a lot stands out, first starter Royal Advance can run a winning race on debut. The horse trialed beautifully leading into this race and in a small field it can deliver at the first time of asking.

Race 3 tip: Royal Advance to win ($2.30 at Sportsbet)

Race 4 – Class 1 (2000m)

Rex Bell only just missed out last time at Newcastle as a short-priced favourite and we’re expecting it to bounce back here. The horse will get a nice run from gate one and we’re backing it in to deliver.

Race 4 tip: Rex Bell to win ($3 at Sportsbet)

Race 5 – Maiden Handicap (1300m)

Quite Unexpected can feature here fresh. The horse has a first-up placing in the past and has trialed nicely leading into this resumption. From a great draw and a low weight it will be right in the mix at tasty odds.

Race 5 tip: Quite Unexpected to win ($8.50 at William Hill)

Race 6 – Maiden Handicap (1500m)

In five-straight races Dashing Special has placed, including two places from as many runs this preparation. The gelding is right in the frame to finally break through at the 16th time of asking.

Race 6 tip: Dashing Special to win ($4.40 at Neds)

Race 7 – Benchmark 66 (1600m)

Dashing Special has placed in two runs this preparation, progressing with each run. The horse has been rising in distance across those runs and should be ready to peak at the mile.

Race 7 tip: Discreet Charm to win ($4.40 at Crownbet)

Race 8 – Class 1 Handicap (1300m)

Cape Wickham should finish the meet in winning fashion. The gelding is resuming after a ten month break, but its last start was a strong maiden win at Goulburn. We’re backing it in here.

Race 8 tip: Cape Wickham to win ($11 at Neds)
