The track is rated a Soft 7, while the rail is out 3m from the 1300m-1100m, 5m from 1100m-450m and then true for the remainder. The first race is set to go at 12:50pm AEST.

Hawkesbury Best Bet: Supremo

The John Thompson-trained Supremo was last seen finishing second as a $2.10 favourite on June 5 at Newcastle and will be looking to get back in the winner’s stall here at Hawkesbury. It is hard to dislike his racing pattern, as he has shown a tendency to go forward in the early stages and settle close to the speed. Hugh Bowman hops on board the three-year-old son of Written Tycoon and from barrier seven will look to go forward and dictate terms. With little early speed drawn underneath him, Bowman should have no issue finding the rails, where he will look to emulate Supremo’s all-the-way win at Warwick Farm three runs back.

Next Best at Hawkesbury: Tags

Having won three successive races in country New South Wales, the Gayna Williams-trained Tags heads to Hawkesbury looking to bring up a fourth win from five career starts. He was a soft winner in the end at Bathurst on June 8 when coming from midfield and hitting the line hard on resumption from a three-month spell. He steps up to 1300m second-up and with Nick Heywood sticking on board, the pair will be looking to continue their unbeaten affiliation having won all three starts together.

Hawkesbury Value Bet: Lady Lucilla

Lady Lucilla will surely appreciate Tyler Schiller’s 2kg claim as the two-year-old goes up against her older rivals in the opening leg of the quaddie. At Wyong on June 3 she settled three wide without cover on speed and faded late to finish fourth, beaten three lengths. From barrier six, we expect Schiller to settle the Holy Roman Emperor filly close to the speed, and considering she gets in 2kg under the minimum weight, Lady Lucilla could take some beating at a nice each-way quote.

Best ValueRace 4 – Lady Lucilla (#10) $12 with Sportsbet
