Hawkesbury is scheduled to host a strong eight-race card on Sunday afternoon and our New South Wales form analyst at horsebetting.com.au presents his best bets, top odds and free quaddie numbers. The track is rated a Soft 7 with the rail in the true position for the meeting getting underway at 12:25pm AEST.

Hawkesbury Best Bet: Kiterro

Sunday is surely the day the Chris Waller-trained Kiterro breaks her maiden following five straight minor-placed finishes and three straight runner-up efforts. The three-year-old Pierro filly simply does not know how to run a bad race and despite finish over two lengths behind Allinthistogether at Gosford on June 29, she still managed to put close to three lengths on the rest of the field behind her. From barrier 12 on Sunday, we expect Jason Collett to be positive from the barriers and attempt to settle his mount outside the leader and when asked for an effort, expect her to put a couple of lengths on her rivals quickly and get favourite backers off to a positive start in the opening leg of the quaddie.

Best BetRace 5 – Kiterro (#12) $1.40 with Sportsbet

Next Best at Hawkesbury: Sniper Legend

The Matthew Vella-trained Sniper Legend managed to break his maiden when first-up resuming from a five-month spell over the Hawkesbury 1100m on June 22. The two-year-old son of Capitalist managed to put close to two lengths on his older rivals in a dominant all-the-way victory and the field he meets on Sunday should prove no harder a challenge. He drops 0.5kg at the weights and from barrier five, Rachel King should have no issue in finding him a spot in the first half a dozen for this exciting proposition. He showed he can handle the Heavy going with great aplomb last time out and if he brings a similar effort to this BM64 on Sunday he should be make it two wins from two starts this campaign.

Next BestRace 7 – Sniper Legend (#9) $3.60 with Sportsbet

Hawkesbury Value Bet: High Academy

Garry White will be hoping his five-year-old mare High Academy can overcome a poor record at the Hawkesbury 300m and return to the winner’s stall for the first time in close to 15 months. The Smart Missile mare does her best racing when being allowed to settle in the lead where she can dictate terms and attempt to kick clear. With rain forecast on Sunday, Hawkesbury can be advantageous early on in the card to leaders and considering she drops 2kg off her last run, she presents some value on Sunday.

Best ValueRace 3 – High Academy (#5) $10 with Sportsbet
