Last year’s Group 1 Northerly Stakes (1800m) victor, Dom To Shoot, tragically passed away following reports of a bowel injury sustained during his spell.

The six-year-old, trained by Sean and Jake Casey, concluded his racing career with a ninth-place finish in the Group 1 Australian Cup (2000m) on March 30, trailing behind Cascadian.

In addition to his Northerly Stakes triumph, Dom To Shoot clinched the Group 3 Northam Stakes (1300m) in 2023, showcasing his prowess on the turf. With a record of eight wins and placements in 16 out of 44 starts, his legacy in the racing world is profound.
