Australian Oaks – Savvy Coup
The market is sleeping on New Zealand star Savvy Coup but it really shouldn’t be.
Coming across the Tasman after a strong New Zealand Oaks win, Savvy Coup is hunting a hat-trick in the Australian edition of the race. The horse has drawn brilliantly to deliver at Randwick.
The Kiwis have won the last two Australian Oaks and we think they’ll make it three on the trot.
Savvy Coup is a $7.50 hope at Ladbrokes to win the Australian Oaks

Queen Elizabeth Stakes – Winx
It’s the easiest selection to make across the weekend, but we are extremely confident that Winx continues her dominance.
The great one gets the chance to equal Black Caviar’s record of 25-straight successes and will add a 18th Group 1 win in victory. The odds make her probably too short to back, but if you’re putting together a multi this weekend, Winx is your anchor.
Winx is a $1.16 favourite in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Sportsbet

Sydney Cup – Almandin
The Sydney Cup looms perfectly as Almandin’s chance to add another Group 1 staying jewel to its accomplished crown.
Proven at the two-mile journey, Almandin comes into this race fresh off a win in the Tancred under a brilliant Kerrin McEvoy ride. D Oliver gets the ride on the powerful eight-year-old after Lloyd Williams confirmed McEvoy is riding stablemate Aloft, but Ollie has steered Almandin before in the past, so we’re confident the switch won’t be detrimental.
Back Almandin in to add a Sydney Cup to his glittering resume.

Queen Of The Turf Stakes – Alizee
Alizee is a star that returns to a track and distance it has had success at in the past.
The star Godolphin filly registered a win in the Flight Stakes back in the spring, and while many will be discouraged by the Vinery run, we think there’s plenty to be taken out of that performance.
We’re backing the three-year-old to register the final Group 1 race of The Championships.
Alizee is a $11 hope in the Queen Of The Turf Stakes at William Hill
