The main race of the afternoon is the final race of the day, so we have a bit of a wait but we think it will be worth it when Zac Attack goes around. The Ed O’Rourke-trained mare started her career in Brisbane in the Edmonds stable and showed plenty of speed. She has not had a run since a seventh at Caulfield back in June 2020, and now has her first start for the new stable. Two soft trials in preparation for this should have her ready to go and she can build on her very good first-up record.

Best Bet of the Day : #4 Zoukina
Another runner who brings Brisbane form to Grafton is Stephen Lee’s Zoukina. The four-year-old Zoustar mare has won just one of her eight starts, but has placed in another six so she has shown ability. She missed the placings for the first time at her last start, but that came in a metropolitan Class 3, so back to a country Class 1 should make her very hard to beat. She is likely to get back from barrier three but she can be humming home late under Jake Bayliss.

Next Best : #2 Charice
Four-year-old Reset mare Charice has had just the four starts and now strikes a very winnable maiden. The Daniel Went-trained mare has placed in two races in her career, with both of those coming at this track at her last two outings. Two starts about she ran a nice third at a big price at this track and trip, before being stepped back to 1020m which saw her run second to be beaten in a photo. Back up to 1100m should suit, she should get a nice run in front from the inside alley and be hard to catch in this.
