Gosford Race Club will host an eight-race card on Thursday afternoon, and HorseBetting’s New South Wales racing expert presents his bets and quaddie selections for the meeting. The track is rated a Good 4, the rail is set in the true position, and racing is set to get underway at 1:20pm AEDT.

Gosford Best Bet – Adios

Paul Messara saddles up Adios, who has begun his career with consecutive runner-up performances. Having settled three-wide up on speed at Wyong on September 21, the three-year-old weakened late to go down by under a half-length. The son of Snitzel is set to go around with the blinkers on for the first time, which is certainly going to aid his chances, and from barrier six we expect Robbie Dolan to roll forward on the gelding and dictate terms. In a field that looks to lack depth, Adios should be too good for this field in a dominant all-the-way victory.

Best BetRace 1 – Adios (#3) $1.80 with Sportsbet

Next Best at Gosford – Narrated

Ciaron Maher & David Eustace are set to send their four-year-old mare Narrated to the Gosford 1900m following a consistent run of form throughout this campaign. She has won two from five starts and is yet to run outside of the top three this time in, so she will be hard to beat. Having led the field up at Randwick-Kensington on September 15, Narrated was run down in the shadow of the winning post to miss by just over a length. Rachel King retains the ride, which is a bonus, and from barrier four she should have no issue in settling the Snitzel mare up on speed, where we expect her to be too good for this field over 1900m.

Next BestRace 6 – Narrated (#2) $2.05 with Sportsbet

Gosford Value Bet – Attribution

James Cummings and Sam Clipperton are set to combine with the four-year-old Attribution, who resumes off a four-month spell. Having finished outside of the top three on just one occasion from eight starts, she hardly knows how to run a bad race. This is another mare who will want to roll forward, and from barrier four we expect Clipperton to hunt for the rail and dictate terms throughout. In a field bereft of early speed and with a first-up win to her name already, we expect this to be the recipe for success for the daughter of Exceed And Excel.

Best ValueRace 8 – Attribution (#6) $6 with Sportsbet
