Geelong Races 15th November Betting Preview
A small seven race card at Geelong is the accompanying meeting to the Donald Cup meeting on Sunday where a perfect spring day is forecasted we are set fair for a competitive card down the highway. The rail is out six metres the entire circuit and with the first race set to jump at 1:30 we’ll try and steer you into a few winners.
The Amy and Ash Yargi trained gelding has been racing in super consistent form and has been pushing the door down for a well deserved win. He hasn’t won in almost a year and a half but with three runner up performances in his last four starts he looks primed to break through for win number three in the final event at Geelong. His last start at Traralgon he was cutting back the lead the entire home straight but ran out of time to go down by half a head on the line. From barrier two, he is drawn to do no work and if Michael Dee can get a bit of luck in the home straight he should prove hard to hold out.

Andrew Homann and Craig Newitt team up with this 6YO gelding who was pipped on the line a week ago at Cranbourne in a class one. He gets back to a BM58 here on Sunday and despite drawing a wide barrier he looks hard to go past. He had resumed this campaign in Adelaide and had been far from disgraced in competitive BM58’s despite not running into the plassings. At Cranbourne he looked the winner with 100 metres to go, but peaked on his run late in the race to go down by a half head on the line. If he can get a bit of luck early from the wide barrier then he should prove too classy for this field.

The Bryce Stanaway trained veteran will line up for start number 109 at Geelong on Sunday and despite only winning on three occasions in his career he continually runs into the minor money in recent times. He settled up on speed at Warrnambool last time out and battled on strongly to only be taken down in the shadows of the winning post. He gets Jordan Childs on board for this assignment and will be looking to break his horrific stat line at Geelong where he is yet to run a drum in 16 appearances at the track.
