In the tough to read opener Captain Arjento looks the best play. The horse has a second placing this preparation and looks as good a chance as any heading into the first race on the card.

Race 1 tip: Captain Arjento to win at Neds

Race 2 – Maiden (1000m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1187287_02]

Kid Mac has been impressive as of late and looks set to breakthrough sooner rather than later. The horse has placed second in back-to-back events and it should be right around the mark once again.

Race 2 tip: Kid Mac to win at William Hill

Race 3 – Maiden Plate (1100m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1187287_03]

Lindsay Park runner Behold The Queen looks ready to win. The horse has been good across its three career runs, finishing no worse than fourth. The filly has trialed nicely leading into this race and looks set for a strong showing.

Race 3 tip: Behold The Queen to win at Sportsbet

Race 4 – Maiden Plate (1300m)

Classy Rebel surprised at big odds when the gelding debuted on May 22 and we believe the three-year-old can back that run up nicely here. From a good gate the gelding should be handy in the run and will be highly competitive.

Race 4 tip: Classy Rebel to win at Sportsbet

Race 5 – Maiden (1300m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1187287_05]

Alberta Magic has placed second in three of its four career runs and looks set for a strong performance on Friday. A win has been a long time coming for the classy filly, which returns after a 48 day layoff.

Race 5 tip: Alberta Magic to win at William Hill

Race 6 – Benchmark 58 (1300m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1187287_06]

Topweight Mr Magpie is looking to back-to-back in this event. Despite carrying 62.5kg into this race the gelding gets a 3kg claim here, which will help immensely.

Race 6 tip: Mr Magpie to win at Neds

Race 7 – Benchmark 64 (1200m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1187287_07]

Savvy Shields is a last-start winner that can deliver back-to-back wins in this event. The horse won on May 28 at this level and just under this distance, so another powerful run is expected.

Race 7 tip: Savvy Shields to win at Ladbrokes

Race 8 – Benchmark 70 (1100m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1187287_08]

Clear Signal is by far the best credentialed runner coming into this race. The last-start winner is one of only two horses that has finished within the first six coming into this race, and that other competitor is resuming. Back Clear Signal in.

Race 8 tip: Clear Signal to win at Crownbet

Race 9 – Benchmark 70 (1300m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1187287_09]

Educate has been in stellar form leading into this and looks the best prospect once again. From its last five runs the horse has won twice and placed second a further two times. Cannot knock the form and we’re backing it to end the day in style.

Race 9 tip: Educate to win at Sportsbet
