Field sizes aren’t very big, but there’s some nice horses in action and it should be a good day on the punt at Gawler.

Race 1 – BM90 Handicap (1208m)

Go The Journey finished a handy second last start and it should be better for the run. The Richard Jolly-trained five-year-old has won six of its 22 starts to date and its form looks good enough to be considered here.

Race 1 tip: Go The Journey to win ($2.65) at CrownBet.com.au

Race 2 – Maiden Plate (1108m)

Scarecrow finished second on debut at Wodonga and it has been prepared with a recent trial on this track. Drawing barrier 15 isn’t ideal, but punters should respect the stable.

Race 2 tip: Scarecrow to win ($3.20) at Neds.com.au

Race 3 – BM70 Handicap (1508m)

Peretti started its career with consecutive fifth placings before scoring a win at Morphettville last time out. The three-year-old filly looks to have enough ability to win at this level and it has firmed in from $4.20 to $3.70.

Race 3 tip: Peretti to win ($3.70) at CrownBet.com.au

Race 4 – BM70 Handicap (1712m)

Ace Attack should have won already this campaign, but it has been knocking on the door with three close placings. The more than capable gelding is ideally suited to this race and he should be winning with ease.

Race 4 tip: Ace Attack to win ($2.30) at CrownBet.com.au

Race 5 – BM64 Handicap (1108m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1177790_05]
Mandee has been relegated from premier racing in Melbourne to Gawler, but this might help it get some confidence back. The McEvoy-trained runner is ideally drawn in barrier three and something close to its best form will be good enough.

Race 5 tip: Mandee to win ($3.50) at Neds.com.au

Race 6 – BM75 Handicap (2112m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1177790_06]
My Nikita hasn’t been able to do much this campaign, but expect improvement from the Darren Weir-trained runner. It looked decent when placing two starts back and something close to that form should take it close.

Race 6 tip: My Nikita to win ($4.20) at Sportsbet.com.au

Race 7 – BM82 Handicap (1508m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1177790_07]
Don’t We Love It improved drastically last start when running second. That came after an eighth fresh up and the improvement was a good sign for punters. Tricky draw, but Dean Yendall takes the ride.

Race 7 tip: Don’t We Love It to win ($4.80) at Sportsbet.com.au

Race 8 – BM70 Handicap (1208m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1177790_08]
Written In Stone could give Darren Weir a big day in the last. The four-year-old worked to the line well enough last start when second and it’s a winning chance based on that run.

Race 8 tip: Written In Stone to place ($1.80) at CrownBet.com.au
