Gatton Betting Preview
A nine race program has been assembled at Gatton Sunday afternoon. The track is a Soft 5 and the rail out 0.5m from the 800m-350m and true for the remainder. Horsebetting.com.au bring you our best bets and quaddie numbers for the Sunday afternoon meeting. Race 1 is set to jump at 11:15am.
Best Bet : Oakfield Geronimo
Beau Gorman saddles up consistent gelding Oakfield Geronimo in the final race of the day. This time in, the five-year-old has had four starts for two wins and two minor placings and has never missed the place at Gatton which gets a big tick. Drawn ideally in barrier three, this son of Dream Ahead will be handy to the lead and can return to the winner’s stall.
Race 9 – Oakfield Geronimo (#4)Next Best : Absolute Glory
Lindsay Hatch and Angela Jones combine in the seventh with four-year-old mare Absolute Glory. The daughter of Olympic Glory is undefeated here at Gatton, winning her last two starts in nice style. Drawn out in barrier nine is not ideal, but her adaptable racing pattern can find her in a handy spot regardless of where she ends up. The 2kg claim is beneficial here too.
Race 7 – Absolute Glory (#3)Best Value : Bid In A Hurry
Three-year-old filly Bid In A Hurry has not been at the races since December last year when she was last behind King Klaus, but she just came to the end of her campaign then. The Caroline Allardyce-trained is undefeated at Gatton and has trialled very well at Toowoomba in the lead-up to this. Drawn ideally in barrier two, this filly should ping the lids and be very hard to beat.
Race 4 – Bid In A Hurry (#6)Gatton quaddie picks 30/5
