Fullazaboot wins trial on way to Millions

Magic Millions aspirant Fullazaboot has won a barrier trial at the Sunshine Coast and now trainer Stuart Kendrick will wait to see if he makes the field for the 2YO Classic.

Kendrick took the gamble not to run the colt in Saturday’s B J McLachlan Stakes when he drew a wide barrier.

Fullazaboot has earned $51,000 from a win and second and sits at No.15 in the order of entry for the Classic (1200m) on January 13 which has a field capacity of 16.

There are still races this weekend which could mean the winners leapfrog him but it is a risk Kendrick is willing to take.

Fullazaboot is by Group 1 winner Sepoy out of the Listed race winner Fulazz who won the Debutante Stakes at her first start for Lee Freedman.

Fullazaboot beat three-year-old Checkmate Lad by 2-1/4 lengths in Tuesday’s 850m-trial wearing blinkers.

He will be ridden by Sydney jockey Tye Angland in the Magic Millions and is a $26 chance with Newcastle speedster Jonker the $3.50 favourite.
