Full form & tips for Bunbury, Friday December 29

BUNBURY is hosting a seven race card in the nation’s west Friday afternoon.

Race 1 – Maiden (1200m)

Trakiato is debuting, but after a number of exciting trials we are happy to recommend the horse here. In a race that doesn’t have any true standouts we are backing the son of Toorak Toff to make an instant impact.

Race 1 tip: Trakiato to win at Neds

Race 2 – Maiden (1200m)

In an extremely weak maiden You Am I stands out more than most. The horse did not set the world on fire last preparation, but in its first it finished second and third, and the returning trials have been encouraging. Look for an improved showing from the three-year-old.

Race 2 tip: You Am I to win at Ladbrokes

Race 3 – Maiden (1675m)

Connections of Warbo N’grato will be hoping the five-year-old can improve on back-to-back placings in much stronger maiden races than this one. Thursday’s third race presents as the best opportunity yet to shake the maiden tag and we’re backing the gelding in.

Warbo N’grato is the next best bet of the day at Bunbury

Race 3 tip: Warbo N’grato to win at Neds

Race 4 – Class 5 Handicap (1675m)

Ginger Ninja hasn’t been too far away in its last four races and brings in arguably the best form into this event. The seven-year-old has placed at the track and distance before in the past and will be right in the mix here.

Race 4 tip: Ginger Ninja to win at William Hill

Race 5 – Class 1 Handicap (2000m)

American Joy should be taking this race out. The three-year-old filly is a last-start winner at Pinjarra, and before that had been within half a length of the winner on back-to-back occasions. The Americain filly should make it two-from-two.

American Joy is our best bet of the day at Bunbury

Race 5 tip: Alienated to win at Neds

Race 6 – Class 3 Handicap (1400m)

Snow Blossom has been so close to registering wins on a number of occasions this preparation. In its last five races the mare has missed out by a combined two and a half lengths, highlighting just how close it has gone to winning. In a weaker field the horse should be too good.

Race 6 tip: Snow Blossom to win at CrownBet

Race 7 – Class 1 (1200m)

Light The Fuse looks to have plenty of improvement in the tank after breaking the maiden two starts back. The horse advanced past the non-winner grade to finish fourth at Class 1 level, less than two lengths off the winner. We think Light The Fuse is a runner to follow in the west.

Race 7 tip: Light The Fuse to win at Ladbrokes
