From Within rediscovers her winning ways
Four-year-old mare From Within has found her best juvenile form to win at the Sunshine Coast.
From Within finally lived up to the big early wraps on her and some strong trackwork with a brilliant win at Caloundra on Saturday.
Now a four-year-old, From Within ($6) went straight to the lead and scored by two lengths to High Cost ($41) in the XXXX Take In The Gold Handicap (1000m).
At her first start for Gold Coast trainer Toby Edmonds, From Within had looked certain to win but stopped to be third at Doomben.
However, on Saturday she was strong to the line which didn’t surprise stable foreman Trent Edmonds.
“All she had to do was run up to her trackwork to win. She works as well as any horse we have in the stable,” Edmonds said.
‘You can see by her (winning) time she is capable of going straight to open company.”
From Within started equal favourite in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic in 2017 but was caught off the track and was well beaten.
“She is probably getting back to the from which saw her start favourite in a big race,’ Edmonds said.
