Apprentice Tahlia Hope has had a red letter day recording a career-best four winners at Echuca.

Riding at Wednesday’s secondary meeting held over from Monday because of forecast hot weather, Hope rode three winners for trainer Patrick Payne with her final winner aboard Barchetta, a pick-up ride for Aaron Purcell.

All four started favourite in their respective races.

“Four winners. It’s the first time ever,” Hope told racing broadcaster racing.com.

“It’s definitely an achievement in my book.

“I have to thank my family and all the trainers that have backed me throughout my whole career.”

Hope was one of 11 apprentices to graduate last week from Racing Victoria’s Apprentice Jockey Training Program.
