HorseBetting’s Victorian form analyst present his best bets and quaddie numbers for the nine-part Flemington card on Saturday, with top odds from the leading Australian bookmakers. The meeting is set to held on a Soft 6 with the rail out 11m for the entire circuit, while the card is scheduled to get underway at 11:45am AEST.

Listed A.R. Creswick Stakes Top Tip

We are happy to be with the Lyn Tolson & Leonie Proctor-trained Curran in the $140,000 Flemington feature. The three-year-old has not finished outside of the top two in his last six starts, including two wins from his past three races. The one defeat came at the hands of the smart Ayrton, finishing 1.25 lengths off the up-and-coming star of racing. Young apprentice Matthew Cartwright has been aboard for every start in Curran’s career and retains the ride here. Expect Cartwright to have him in clear galloping room from about the 400m mark, allowing the gelding to build through the gears and produce a barnstorming turn of foot.

A.R Creswick Stakes Best BetRace 7 – Curran (#1) $5 with Bet365

Flemington Best Bet: Kurabui

We have been with the Mick Price-trained Kurabui at both of her starts this campaign, and those two wins suggest we should not jump off as she steps out in Saturday company for the first time. From barrier 10 she will need to go back to the second half of the field, but under the steering of Jamie Kah that is far from a deterrent. The Proisir mare is undefeated at two starts over the 1600m, and with a win next to her name on Soft going already she is a clear best bet on the card. Expect Kah to make her move at the top of the straight, and when asked for an effort Kurabui should have too much class for this field.

Best BetRace 5 – Kurabui (#9) $1.90 with Sportsbet

Next Best at Flemington: Rubisaki

The Patrick Payne-trained Rubisaki is set to go around in similar company to what she faced at Flemington on June 5 when finishing second. On that day she peaked late after sustaining a long run to go down by just under a half-length to Yulong January. She meets her rival again here on Saturday, this time 4kg better in the weights. A rain-affected track will only enhance her chances, as she has won six from nine starts on wet going, and if she brings the form that saw her finish third in the Group 1 Robert Sangster Stakes three starts ago, she should simply be too good for this field in the third leg of the quaddie.

Next BestRace 8 – Rubisaki (#11) $5 with Sportsbet
