Fabergino will be transferred to Chris Waller’s Flemington base

The daughter of Maschino joins Australia’s champion trainer after winning the Listed Bob Hoysted (1000m) at Flemington last weekend.

It was Fabergino’s second consecutive Bob Hoysted and the 12th win of her 19-start career for Perth trainer Tiarnna Robertson.

Lonsdale Park’s Jim Anderson, who co-owns and bred Fabergino, said there were exciting times ahead for the six-year-old.

“Fabergino will be transferred to Chris Waller’s Flemington base,” Anderson told The Races WA.

“We are also in discussions with several potential buyers including a part sale with Chris Waller’s clients.

“Chris has big plans for Fabergino including a career-ending finale at Royal Ascot.

“She will then commence her next chapter as a broodmare and a service in England to one of the best European sires at the time.

“Part of Fabergino’s ownership crew include John Tierney and Martin McDonough who live in the UK.

“They will have the opportunity of seeing her run in the flesh again.”

Fabergino launched her career in 2017 in style when on debut she led all the way for Jarrad Noske and scored by one length.

Her first black type success came in the Listed Crawford Stakes (1000m) before further feature wins in the Summer Scorcher (1000m) and Northam Stakes (1100m).

She won four races in Melbourne including the Bob Hoysted twice and the Listed Kensington Stakes (1000m).

After 12 wins and three placings from 19 starts, Fabergino is fast approaching millionaire status with $850, 800 in prizemoney.

Anderson lavished praise on Robertson, saying she was a key architect in Fabergino’s success.

“All of the owners, myself, John Beesley, John Tierney and Martin McDonough recognise the hard work and effort that Tiarnna put in,” Anderson said.

“She did all the work to get Fabergino to where she is today and that won’t be forgotten.”

Fabergino is the first crop daughter of Encosta De Lago stallion Maschino.

Anderson also raced Maschino and bought Fabergino’s dam Miss Razyana (Danzero) for $36,000 at the 2013 Magic Millions National Broodmare sale.

A full sister to Fabergino was sold for $50,000 at the recent Magic Millions Perth sale.

Very disappointed they took the horse off Tiarna, once again Waller steals another horse of a battling trainer. Class act this bloke. SMH
