|Where||Echuca Racecourse – Scott Rd, Echuca VIC 3564|
|When||Monday, October 11, 2021|
|First Race||12:30pm AEDT|
A bumper ten-race card is scheduled for Echuca on Monday afternoon and Horsebetting’s Victorian horse racing tipping expert presents his best bets, free quaddie numbers and odds from Australia’s leading bookmakers. The track is rated a Good 4, with the rail out 3m from the 1700m-1400m and 3m from the 1000m-400m and then true the remainder, for the meeting commencing at 12:30pm AEDT.
Echuca Best Bet – Kiata
Fresh off a seven-month spell, the Rod Symons-trained Kiata looks to be a clear best bet on the card. With a win and a minor placing to his name from three first up runs, we know he can fire fresh and from barrier four, we expect Daniel Stackhouse to have him roll forward and dictate terms throughout. In a race where their looks to be little pressure for the lead, Kiata looks to get an easy time of it out in front and from eight runs, he has only missed the frame on one occasion, showing just how consistent he is. He has had two starts around Echuca for a narrow defeat and a fifth-place finish, so if he is anywhere close to his best first up, he should prove simply too hard to run down.
Next Best at Echuca – Baron Of Bedford
Mark and Levi Kavanagh bring last start Kilmore maiden winner Baron of Bedford to the Echuca 2124m and with winning confidence behind him, he looks to be one of the better bets of the day. Having settle in the first four over 2000m at Kilmore on September 28, the four-year-old son of Tavistock managed to kick clear over the final 200m and brought up a well-deserved maiden win. He’ll need a bit of luck from barrier 13 early on, but with Michael Poy on board, we Poy to have him lobbed in a handy position close to the speed with cover. In a race where plenty of his rivals lack consistency, we expect the form he has shown behind Goondiwindi earlier this campaign to be the difference here and bring up consecutive wins.
Echuca Value Bet – Mr Have A Chat
The John Price-trained Mr Have A Chat was the best of the beaten brigade at Moonee Valley on October 1 behind Easy Single over 955m and we expect the drop back to a country level BM64 to be the winning move. He draws barrier two on Monday and despite needing to lug 60kg, Craig Newitt will look to take a sit off the leaders heels and burst through a gap at the top of the home straight. With the likes of Baronessa, Lunar Hero and The Mobot all wanting to take up the running, this race looks perfectly set up for Mr Have A Chat to present at the right time and prove far too hard to hold out.
