The George Osborne-trained Kerioth got his deserved maiden victory at Werribee on April 10, and comes to Echuca on the back of a month off between runs. From barrier 10 under Madison Lloyd, we expect the tactics to be similar here on Monday as it was at Werribee to jump and head to the front of the field and prove hard to catch. The Zebedee gelding sticks at 1100m (1109m) and considering he and the runner up put a space of five length on their closest rivals at Werribee shows he is a force to reckoned with in the second leg of the Echuca quaddie.

Next Best: #12 Uniquely
The Danny O’Sullivan-trained Uniquely has but the writing on the wall at her last two starts, suggesting the filly should be breaking through for her maiden win here on Monday. From barrier 10, we expect apprentice Will Price to take her forward and take up the running in this maiden over 2124m. Two runs back at Stawell her jockey lost a rein in the final 50m which proved costly when just missing on the line. The step up to over 2100m for her fifth run in this campaign looks ideal and should be too good for this lot.

Best Value: #3 Dallas Cowgirl
We were with Dallas Cowgirl when the Brett Stanley-trained filly got the job done in her maiden at Bendigo on May 2. On the quick backup, the Hinchinbrook filly looks well placed to make it back to back wins this preparation. Despite drawing barrier 14 (10 after scratchings), we had her settling at the rear of the field anyway, and with a well timed run from the 600m she has the capability to sustain a long run in the small field of 12 and be sending us home a winner at a nice price.
