Eight races will be run and won at Dubbo on Sunday afternoon on what is going to be a Good 4 track. The rail is in the true position for the entire circumference of the course, so fair racing should be the order of the afternoon. Horsebetting.com.au has your Sunday session sorted with best bets and a juicy Quaddie to end your week with. The meeting will jump at 12:50pm.
Best Bet – #1 Vital Verse
Vital Verse had his final run for Annabel Neasham last start as he now joins the Kody Nestor yard. Coming off a last start fourth to Jojo Was A Man at Randwick, the three-year-old gelding should find this big drop in class attainable. He has drawn barrier three under Anthony Cavallo which should see him jump, lead and win. His form is superior, he will be winning.
Race 6 – Vital Verse (#1)[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1366331_06]
Next Best – #2 Spilia
Spilia has hit the ground running this campaign with a win and two minor placings from three starts. The five-year-old gelding has had 26 starts for just the two wins, but he has been in the form of his life and gets every chance under Grant Buckley who has ridden him just the once last time out for a half length defeat. The Pierro gelding has placed five times at a mile without winning, but he should be peaking fourth up this time in. A nice way to open proceedings.
Race 1 – Spilia (#2)[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1366331_01]
Next Best – #3 Swagger
Mitch Beer and Jake Pracey-Holmes combine in the second with Swagger, a five-year-old gelding having just his fifth Australian start. The son of Postponed won in his Australian debut by one and a half lengths at Wagga Wagga and then only just missed behind the in-form Phillipsburg at Albury. He had three weeks between runs and then bolted in over 1400m which he is dealt with here. He never got into the race last time when seventh, but he has had the proven three week gap and draws to be out of trouble in gate nine. He can bounce back.
Race 2 – Swagger (#3)[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1366331_02]
