HorseBetting’s Queensland form analyst brings you his best bets and suggested quaddie numbers for the seven-race program at Doomben on Wednesday afternoon. The track is rated a Soft 5 and the rail is out 6.5m for the entire course, which may favour those on speed. The first race is set to jump at 1:43pm AEST.
Best Bet at Doomben: Dominarcher
We made Billy Healy’s gelding the best bet on Friday’s Eagle Farm program, but he was scratched on race morning and saved for here instead, so we will powder up and go again. Dominarcher has won three of his five career starts and is now shooting at a fourth consecutive victory. After a great first-up win at this track over 1110m, the five-year-old son of Golden Archer finds himself stepping out to 1350m, which is going to suit. Drawn in barrier four, Jimmy Orman will settle much closer on him second-up compared to what he did first-up, which should make him very hard to beat again. The horse loves winning and knows where the line is, which will take him a very long way against this field.
Best Value at Doomben: Sienna’s Choice
Sienna’s Choice is a mare in form at the minute, having won her past two races at Ipswich and Eagle Farm respectively. The four-year-old daughter of Love Conquers All has shown the ability in those two wins to be ridden however the race plays; she came from second last at Ipswich to win by a length, before sitting outside the leader at Eagle Farm to defeat Palaszczuk and Jack The Lad by just under half a length. Jim Byrne has partnered the mare in all of her runs this campaign and stays on for Wednesday’s assignment, which is a big advantage as he rides her very well. From barrier two, we hope to see Sienna’s Choice ridden similarly to her last start and be handy to the speed over the 1640m journey. This is a touch tougher again, but she is flying at the minute.
