Promising three-year-old Crossedem has been sold to Singapore interests.

The son of Any Suggestion was a debut winner at Avondale in the spring in his only appearance from the Waikato yard of Stephen Marsh.

“He’s going to join Mark Walker’s stable,” said Marsh, who trained the grey for breeders Joe and Max Smithies, of Monovale Farm.

The trio is now also racing Crossedem’s half-brother King’s Cross, who won his maiden at his second start for Marsh before his sale to Hong Kong, but he failed to acclimatise there with just one placing in seven starts for Manfred Man.

King’s Cross subsequently returned home and a first-up win, which came off a three-year break, was followed by a strong run for second from the son of Shinko King at Ellerslie on Boxing Day.

“Joe and Max did a great job with the horse when he returned and it’s great to have him back in the stable,” Marsh said.

“He’s going to go to Wellington this Saturday for a Rating 75 mile.”

King’s Cross will be accompanied on the trip south by Felaar, also raced by Monovale, who was an impressive last-start maiden winner at Ellerslie.

“He’ll run next in the Rating 65 over 2100m,” Marsh said. “He’s a good horse. I’ve always had a lot of time for him, he’s just been weak and he’s still not there physically so the trip will do him good.”
