Cranbourne race best bets & tips for Sunday 13th September 2020

Racing is back at Cranbourne for the first time in 4 weeks where at the time of writing, we are racing on a Good 4, but looking at the radar and forecast between now and raceday is not pretty.

Will be doing form for a track in the Soft 6 range, but may deteriorate even more.

With 9 races set down for judgement on Sunday afternoon, there looks to be plenty of value throughout the card, especially towards the backend with some proven performers going around later in the day. The first race is set to jump at 12:55pm.

Cranbourne Horse Betting Tips

Best BetRace 6 No.3 West Wind$3.20 with Sportsbet

It seems like the Maher and Eustace stable have a strong opinion on this 5yo mare who has been ultra consistent this after a disappointing first up run at Donald. Since then, she has been inching closer and closer to a win and looks well placed here on Sunday. She was sent around favourite at Sandown 3 weeks ago where she was caught napping and out sprinted in a photo finish with Cups hopeful Super Girl. Slight query is that she is still a maiden on wet tracks, but has only missed the placings once out of those four runs. She is approaching peak race fitness and with Johnny Allen in good form, all signs point towards a positive result.

Next Best BetRace 5 No.8 Pinyin$4.80 with Sportsbet

The enigma that is Pinyin drops back from metropolitan racing when runner up to Sakura in mid July. She resumes here and gets Campbell Rawiller on board, she has an electric turn of foot which was most notable two runs back at Sandown. A thousand metres may be a touch sharp for this mare, but her best will take care of this lot nicely. She is an ever consistent mare, yet at the same time quite frustrating for punters, she is yet to miss a placing when first up, but at the same time is a maiden after four first up runs.

Next Best BetRace 9 No.15 Vainly$10.00 / $3.30 with Sportsbet

This 4YO Gelding came out and absolutely brained his opposition last time out at Mornington on a heavy track. He is however the third emergency and needs two more scratchings to get in this field, if he does he looks more than capable of taking the last race on the card out. He was three deep the trip last start and went on to score by 3.5L eased down. If you can get anything over $8.00 on race day it’s a steal.
