Champion jockey Craig Williams has publicly lauded the impressive jump out performance of Giga Kick, tagging the multiple Group 1 winner as nothing short of ‘awesome.’

Giga Kick returned from a spell with Cranbourne jump out on Monday morning when pitted against the likes of What You Need and Magic Time.

Williams expressed unreserved admiration and delight in Giga Kick’s return performance.

He was unequivocal in his praise, and it became clear that Giga Kick has certainly captured the champion jockey’s regard.

“I know when I went through the trial between two jockeys I know on pulling up they made comments in awe of his performance,” Williams said.

“When he come back in his recovery was amazing and I said to Clayton (Douglas) ‘he did that with ease’.

Giga Kick is set to trial again before he returns at Moonee Valley on September 9 in the Group 2 McEwen Stakes (1200m).

“He is a phenomenal horse… the circumference of Moonee Valley won’t be a problem.”
