Racing heads to Coffs Harbour to start the week on Monday afternoon with a competitive eight-race set for decision. The rail is out +4m between the 1000m-350m and is in the true the remainder of the course. We’ve got a Soft 6 currently listed for race-day; however, with no rain forecast over the weekend, it should be racing closer to the Good range. The first race is set to get underway from 1:10pm AEDT.

Leopardi looks a very nice horse making his debut at Coffs Harbour on Monday afternoon. This Brett Cavanough-trained gelding has only had the one barrier trial to his name, but it’s made a strong impression and we’re happy to be backing him here. He jumped out at Lismore on February 24 and won the trial by leading the entire of the 1000m journey without asked for too much of an effort. He left them chasing clearing out with a 1.3 lengths margin on the line and jockey Brooke Stower had him under a strong hold. Leopardi looks likely to be pinging the lids and find the front on Monday and with Jon Grisedale taking the reins on this son of Written Tycoon, we’re expecting a bold showing.

Next Best: Another Blaconyboy
It’s been an 11 start drought for Another Balconyboy but we think he can finally break his maiden status on Monday afternoon. He lines up in the second race of the program and after a tough first-up effort over the 1100m at Grafton, we think dropping back to the shorter 810m trip looks ideal. He’ll be making all over the short trip and will take a power of chasing late. Stephen Traecey takes the for the fourth consecutive time and if there is any on speed favours, Another Balconyboy looks very hard to beat.
