We are with the favourite here in Bandersnatch after what was a ripping runner-up performance a fortnight ago. He’s always had plenty of ability and been touted as a potential star, so it’s good to see him start to put it all together and perform well injury free. He’s loving his racing this campaign, and this looks the type of race that should suit him down to the ground. From barrier 2, with Tommy Berry and 54kg aboard, he’ll settle a couple of pairs back on the fence and should finish right over the top of them. He looks a put in, take out job.

Order Again was dominant first-up at Kensington, winning by 3.3L in comfortable fashion. He tends to race well when fresh, so second-up here off a three week freshen up should be ideal for the seven-year-old. Drawn 4, under Sam Clipperton, he’ll get back and will be coming into the race at the right time. He’s in the right stable and should be peaking in this.

Clare Cunningham and Kerrin McEvoy combine here with Cradle Mountain. The seven-year-old gelding will be rolling along out in front and could be the one who just keeps kicking. Put a pen through his first-up run five weeks ago, he pulled up making an abnormal respiratory noise, but has been back to the trials and won by 2.5L in good fashion. He performs super when he is fresh and he tends to race well here at Randwick. McEvoy is one from one aboard the West Quest gelding and we wouldn’t be surprised to see the unbeaten record remain intact.
