Canterbury Park Racecourse in Sydney will host eight metropolitan races on Wednesday afternoon. The track is rated a Good 4, and the rail is out 3m for the entire circumference of the course. HorseBetting.com.au’s NSW analyst has found you some betting tips and quaddie numbers for the meeting, which kicks off at 12:35pm AEST.

Best Bet: Blesk

We strike a bit of a tricky card on Wednesday, so there is value to be found all over. Our best bet comes up in the sixth with last-start winner Blesk, who just so happened to be our best of the day on that occasion too. Tommy Berry is flying of late and does the steering here on the John O’Shea-trained gelding. The son of Savabeel has been racing well this campaign and stays at the mile, so he should be at peak fitness. Drawn in barrier eight, he will settle midfield and be charging home over a decent tempo.

Best BetRace 6 – Blesk (#5) $4 with Sportsbet

Next Best: Fifteen Aria

Chris Waller and Brenton Avdulla combine in the second with the classy Fifteen Aria. The three-year-old Fastnet Rock filly has had just three starts for two wins, including a narrow victory at Hawkesbury on April 5. That win came first up at 1500m, so she should be even fitter now as she rises to 1550m. Drawn in barrier four, Avdulla will have this filly within striking distance to win again. She looks a nice one to follow this campaign, with potential targets including the Queensland Oaks.

Next BestRace 4 – Fifteen Aria (#2) $4.50 with Sportsbet

Best Value: Overmann

Tommy Berry and Team Hawkes combine with two-year-old Overmann in the third in a winnable maiden. While barrier 12 is not an ideal gate, the son of Hinchinbrook has shown a bit of speed in his two trials and his one race back in December in the Inglis Nursery behind Acrobat, so we expect him to lead this field of 14. He had a nice hitout on March 29 when narrowly defeated in a Rosehill trial over 895m, which should have him forward enough to win this over 1200m.

Best ValueRace 3 – Overmann (#3) $6 with Sportsbet
