What Bendigo Races
Where Bendigo Jockey Club – Heinz St, White Hills VIC 3550
When Wednesday, April 21, 2021
First Race 12:45pm AEST

This Wednesday at Bendigo might not be a metropolitan meeting per se, but the quality of the eight-race card is right up there. The track is rated a Good 4, the rail is in the true position throughout, and racing is set to get underway at 12:45pm AEST. HorseBetting.com.au brings you the top odds, best bets and free quaddie numbers for the midweek card at the Nursery of Champions.

Best Bet: Safeeya

Mick Price sends his three-year-old filly Safeeya to Bendigo for her first run this campaign and gets the added bonus of Jamie Kah hopping on board. As she broke her maiden when last resuming from a spell, expect the Fastnet Rock filly to be raring to go. From barrier four, look for Kah to settle her ride midfield and be looping them when entering the home straight. With a sharp turn of foot, Safeeya should be too strong for this field in the final leg of the Bendigo quaddie.

Best BetRace 8 – Safeeya (#11) $3.50 with Sportsbet

Next Best: Cernan

In a small field of six, the Peter Moody-trained Cernan looks well placed to break a long run of outs. The Sea The Moon gelding is one of only two runners in the field to have won at 2400m, and from barrier two he should get every favour in the run under regular jockey Luke Nolen. He looked to be a certainty beaten at Sale on April 7 when held up at a crucial time and running out of time to pull back the margin. With a bit more luck on Wednesday, he looks hard to go past.

Next BestRace 5 – Cernan (#3) $3.50 with Sportsbet

Best Value: Ain’t She Cute

The Charlotte Littlefield-trained Ain’t She Cute returns from a 4.5-month spell over 1100m on Wednesday. Having strung together two runner-up performances in her previous campaign, the No Nay Never filly looks a definite each-way chance early in the card. Jumping from barrier seven under Jason Maskiell, we expect the pair to settle in the first four in the running. She trialled up nicely at Cranbourne in the lead up to this first-up attempt and looks raring to go.

Best ValueRace 2 – Ain’t She Cute (#2) $8.50 with Sportsbet
