Benalla horse racing tips & odds
An eight-race card greets punters at Benalla on Tuesday afternoon. With conditions set fair, we should experience a good day of racing in northern Victoria. The rail is in the true position, while the first race is set to jump at 1:30pm AEDT.
Mark Thomas and Madison Lloyd team up in the second race of the day with a 4YO mare who comes to this event fourth up after running into the minor placings on all three runs thus far. She was beaten a half length on November 8 at this track, where a lack of barrier manners proved detrimental in the concluding stages. She is drawn to do next to nothing in transit from barrier one, and if Lloyd can get a bit of luck early on in the home straight, Lucky Rockstar will take a power of holding out.

Daniel Stackhouse gets back aboard Archipeta Beach for the first time since her juvenile campaign. Last time out at Kilmore, the 3YO filly settled up on pace and finished midfield despite going down by under a length when swamped late. From barrier nine, the in-form Stackhouse will have the opportunity to try to find cover just off the speed. As long as she doesn’t get trapped wide, she looks the one to beat based on her last two runs.

A step up in class doesn’t look to be an issue for Dwayne Reid’s 5YO gelding. He does need a scratching to get into this field on Tuesday, but if he does, he will be in it right until the end. Apprentice Tahlia Hope retains the ride and will look to find the rails again in a bid to break to some hearts, as happened last time out when Demilitarized claimed his maiden win.
