Best Bet at Belmont – Em Tee Aye
We are going to stick around until the last race on Saturday for our best bet to go around, and that is the Trevor Andrews-trained Em Tee Aye. This five-year-old by I’m All The Talk is ultra-consistent, finishing in the placings in all four runs this preparation. That includes runner-up performances to Rokanori and It’sarayday, which is very handy form for a Rating 72+ Handicap. Although drawn out in barrier 10, regular rider Shaun O’Donnell will likely take him back to midfield in a bid to find cover, which will allow Em Tee Aye to finish off strongly over the top. He’s ready to win again.

Next Best at Belmont – Startrade
Startrade is one horse we have had a bit of time for, and with 11 wins to his name, it’s hard not to like him. The son of Trade Fair won back-to-back races in June, and since then he’s finished third in his next two runs, going down by less than half a length two starts back and then finishing just over three lengths away from the impressive Sluice Box last start. Trained by Daniel Morton and to be ridden by Chris Parnham, the six-year-old should get all the favours from barrier two as he looks to get back in the winner’s stall. He’s had six weeks between runs, and although he’s coming back to 1000m from 2000m, he will be rock-hard fit and always races well here, so we’re happy to give him a chance.

Next Best Again at Belmont – Allez Allez
Allez Allez has been out of the winner’s stall for a little while now, but he finds a winnable race on Saturday. The six-year-old gelding by Danehill Express has been good in two runs this preparation, running sixth first-up and then only narrowly being beaten over 1400m last start by Zero Demerits. The Vernon Brockman-trained gelding now gets to 1600m third-up into his preparation, and he looks really well placed with 57.5kg. Drawn in barrier three for Steven Parnham, Allez Allez should get the right run in transit and go very close to winning.
