When Saturday, July 31, 2021
First Race 11:42am AWST

Belmont is scheduled to host a nine-race card on Saturday afternoon, and HorseBetting.com.au’s Western Australian form expert presents his best bets and quaddie numbers with odds from Australia’s best online bookmakers. The track is rated a Soft 6 with the rail out 6m for the entire circuit, and the meeting is set to get underway at 11:42am AWST (1:42pm AEST).

Belmont Best Bet: The Front Bar

The Adam Durrant-trained The Front Bar looks perfectly placed to make it consecutive wins over the Belmont 1000m. The three-year-old daughter of Sessions nagged to keep her rivals at bay when leading all the way on July 24 and looked to have plenty left in the tank. From barrier 11, we expect William Pike to look to settle the filly outside Winning Aces, who looks to be the natural leader in the race, and with fitness on her side and a bit of untapped ability, she should be too good over the 1000m once again.

Best BetRace 2 – The Front Bar (#2) $3.50 with Bet365

Next Best at Belmont: Kaptain Kaos

The Michael Grantham-trained Kaptain Kaos is set to resume from a three-month spell on Saturday. Having not finished outside of the top three in two first-up runs, we expect he will be too good for this One Metro Win field. Laqdar Ramoly will be on board, and considering the son of Demerit will be midfield upon settling, the apprentice hoop’s 2kg claim will only benefit his chances of finishing off strongly. Despite this being his first run around Belmont, Kaptain Kaos should prove hard to hold out over 1200m in the second leg of the quaddie.

Next BestRace 7 – Kaptain Kaos (#2) $3.70 with Bet365

Best Value at Belmont: State Attorney

We will be with the Michael Grantham-trained State Attorney when steps out over 1000m after seven weeks between runs. The Haradasun gelding has shown a liking of the Belmont 1000m, with two runner-up efforts to his name, and we think he can go one better on Saturday despite giving his rivals a start from the rear of the field. If the seven-year-old can be closer to the leaders approaching the home turn, he can finish over the top of them and bring up a well-deserved win.

Best ValueRace 5 – State Attorney (#3) $8 with Sportsbet
