Beijing Board has notched his third successive win to confirm the Godolphin stayer has finally adapted to Australian racing.

The five-year-old French import proved superior in the staying test at Warwick Farm on Saturday by drawing clear to claim the Davali Thoroughbreds Cup (2400m) by a length.

“It took him a while to acclimatise, but since he’s been gelded he’s got into a nice continuity in his training and racing pattern,” said Godolphin assistant trainer Darren Beadman.

“The way he stepped out today was probably his biggest test to date.”

Beijing Board came to Australia after having his final run for top French trainer Andre Fabre in October, 2016.

He was gelded before his first Australian start last May, and after four unplaced runs Beijing Board has won four of his past six races.

Beijing Board ($4.20) joined early pacesetters Multitude and Great Glen at the 600m and and controlled the race in the run home.

Multitude ($8.50) kept in touch for second and Xebec, the $3.40 favourite, was 2-1/2 lengths third.
