Race 1 – Maiden Plate (1000m)

Proof Perfect is coming into this race on the back of a second-placed finish last-time out on hte Gold Coast by a narrow margin. The horse has a wide barrier to contend with but if it gets across nicely it will be a handful for this field.

Race 2 – Maiden Plate (1600m)

Interventions returns after just shy of a month away from the track. The horse has a decent placing record, and looks like a win could be just around the corner. This is the first go at the mile for Interventions, which should excel at the journey.

Race 3 – Maiden Handicap (1300m)

My Cousin Meryl gets the worst possible draw here but in a race without a lot of early speed we think it can get across cheaply and win from the front. The Reset mare placed second behind Daunting Duchess at Murwillumbah last-time out, which looms as a good lead-in to this contest.

Race 4 – Class 2 Handicap (1400m)

After two ordinary career starts, Choreograph won in great fashion at Doomben to break the maiden tag on January 3 and we like what we saw. That race placed it in the HB blackbook, and if it can salute on Friday – which we think it will – it will have a special place in our hearts.

Race 5 – Class 1 Handicap (1000m)

Gohardonhula will benefit from barrier two in a race packed with early speed. The horse has shown promise without being spectacular in its two subsequent runs to shaking the maiden tag and we believe it can get the job done here.

Race 6 – Benchmark 60 (1000m)

Miss Parkin will look to lead from barrier one in a race that has a bunch of early speed. The horse is resuming after six months and it has recorded a win first-up in the past. Expect the horse go forward and deliver a sight.

Race 7 – Handicap (1400m)

Glitra will look to go forward from barrier seven and take this out from the front. The horse is third-up, where it has won at in the past and we believe it can add another victory to its six win career on Friday.

Race 8 – Benchmark 58 (1600m)

Engraved has won and placed in its last two starts and presents as a great winning chance here. In a big field the barrier will help and we feel it can maintain the strong run of form here.
