Ballarat Turf Club is scheduled to host an eight-part card on Tuesday afternoon and HorseBetting’s Victorian horse racing form analyst presents his best bets, odds comparison and free quaddie selections. Tuesday’s meeting is set to get underway at 1pm AEST on the club’s synthetic track.
Best Bet at Ballarat – Ronay
The Patrick Payne-trained Ronay is a genuine Ballarat Synthetic specialist, and we anticipate she will continue his strong affiliation with the course on Tuesday. The six-year-old mare is flying in recent times, with a win and three minor placings in her last five starts. The Delago Deluxe mare had plenty go wrong last time out where she went down a length to the in-form Mocca Diamond. Ronay had to pass a vet check pre-race and when held up for a run on the home turn it was always going to be an uphill battle for her. Maddi Price who claims 4kg sticks on board and will be a massive help in letting Ronay go around with just 59.5kg on her back. From barrier seven, look for Price to lob the chestnut into the one-one and with clear air at the right time, we expect Ronay to bring up a ninth career win on the Ballarat Synthetic.

Next Best at Ballarat – Quick Enuff
Last start Narrandera winner Quick Enuff returns to Victoria and heads to the Ballarat Synthetic, a track she where broke her maiden at her second start. The four-year-old mare made up substantial ground in the home straight last time out and if she replicates a similar finishing burst in this BM58, she looks a touch too good for her rivals. With 61kg allocated, Hannah Edgley hops on board and claims 2kg, so Quick Enuff will need to quicken with just 59kg on her back. With Tobytoff and Tsushima set to make this a genuinely run 1500m affair, we expect Quick Enuff to charge down the centre of the track and prove too hard to hold out.

Best Value at Ballarat – Gingerson
In the opening leg of the quaddie, we will be hoping the Shay Keating-trained Gingerson can return to the winner’s stall as he steps up to the 1200m second-up from a spell. The five-year-old gelding has had one start for one win at the track and trip and considering he is almost certain to gain an uncontested lead throughout, we anticipate he will take some running down. Jamie Mott will need to make this a genuinely run event as Gingerson basically needs to lug the grandstand with 64kg on his back. If he does just that, then Gingerson looks a nice bank builder for our online betting sites accounts.
