Bairnsdale Horse Racing Betting Preview | November 16, 2020
A nine race card at Bairnsdale kick starts another week of racing in Victoria on a warm Monday afternoon in the state’s west. The track has come up a Good 4 and with no rain forecasted it’s easy to assume we’ll be racing on a Good 3 early on in the card. With the rail in the true position throughout, we are set fair for a competitive day of racing.
The first on Monday will jump at 12:55pm AEDT.
It was hard to not be impressed by the Lisa Jones trained 5YO gelding when he weaved his way through the field at Moe to score by over a length first up. He’s had a seven week freshen up off that effort and will look to build on that first up effort here at Bairnsdale. He gets apprentice Lachie Niendorf on board for the first time and from barrier 13 they’ll look to get up on pace with cover with pace drawn on both sides of him. If he gets a bit of luck early on, and based off his first up run he should be hard to hold out in the penultimate race on the card.

The Allan & Jason Williams trained gelding got his deserved maiden victory three weeks ago at Cranbourne when producing a slick turn of foot after being held up behind the leaders early on in the home straight. From barrier four he maps to take up the running as he did on several occasions in his debut campaign, and looks to get an easy time of it up front in the process. He did finish second in his sole third up attempt in his career and can only benefit from his maiden victory at Cranbourne.

Happy to rule the line through the last start effort at Moe seven days ago by the 4YO mare from the Templeton stable, and gets back to a track and distance where she has produced her best effort in her career to date. From barrier one she is drawn to do no work in the running, and with the nose roll going on for the first time she is expected to be fighting out the finish in an open maiden field.
