2020 ATC Cup betting preview

One of the features at Rosehill Gardens this Saturday is the Listed ATC Cup over 2000m. Bonvicini is the current favourite ahead of Laure Me In and Greysful Glamour, who maps to be the sole leader in the race. Wolfe should also be handy.

We are siding with Rocha Clock down on the minimum weight under Robbie Dolan. The four-year-old mare was a good winner at Flemington on Oaks Day and looks to be going great guns this campaign. Barrier six will allow her to get into a good rhythm to save her strong finishing burst for the final furlong. Her breeding suggests she will handle the 2000m for the first time, and getting back on to a Good track can only be a positive.

Back on a dry track over 2000m and down in weight to 54.5kg, Greysful Glamour will take some serious getting past. She’s a go-forward mare, and the lack of speed around her should allow Rachel King to dictate terms and give her mount every possible. Despite her ordinary recent form, this is the one they have to catch.

Costello produced last start what a number of punters and pundits have been waiting to see from him for some time. He stays at 2000m at Rosehill but gets onto a dry track, which should suit. He loves the track and trip and should be refreshed after three weeks off between runs. From barrier eight, Jay Ford will be able to settle close enough to the leader to give his mount a huge sight in the straight. The $17 is well and truly over the odds.
