Ascot hosts another nine-race card on Saturday afternoon, with the action set to get away at 11:48pm local time. The track is rated a Good 4, and the rail is set in the true position for the entire circuit. HorseBetting.com.au brings you the best bets, top odds and free quaddie numbers for this weekend’s meeting in the west.

Sheila Gwynne Classic: Tycoon Storm

Lindsey Smith will leg up Joseph Azzopardi on the four-year-old mare Tycoon Storm, who is looking to make it a hat-trick of wins when she goes around in the Listed Sheila Gwynne Classic. Her last two wins have seen her settle up on speed and prove too strong for her opponents down the stretch. From barrier five, we expect Azzopardi to settle her outside of the leader, and with race fitness on her side she should be too good for this field.

Featured BetRace 4 – Tycoon Storm (#3) $2 with Sportsbet

Best Bet: Kaptain Kaos

The Michael Grantham-trained Kaptain Kaos has put together three consecutive victories to begin his campaign this time in and looks well placed to make it four on the bounce. From barrier two, we expect Chris Parnham to have him settled in the one-one, and when asked for an effort, he should put his rivals away with ease. Parnham is undefeated onboard Kaptain Kaos, including two from two at Ascot. On the back of a genuine tempo over the 1400m, it is hard to see him getting beaten.

Best BetRace 5 – Kaptain Kaos (#2) $2.50 with Sportsbet

Next Best: Blackwater Bay

There is plenty to like about the way the Adam Durrant-trained Blackwater Bay goes about his racing, and we are happy to be with him over the 1800m as he returns from a six-month spell. William Pike has been on the back of the son of Blackfriars in all but one career start, and he takes the ride for this first-up assignment. The four-year-old gelding will need a touch of luck early on in the running from barrier seven, but if he is afforded that, he should have too much class on his side for this No Metro Wins field.

Next BestRace 2 – Blackwater Bay (#4) $2.80 with Sportsbet
